Head of
Narrative & Communications
Run the world, before you run it.
Every complex system gets tested before deployment. Aircraft. Semiconductors. Drugs. Self-driving cars. Except one — the economy. We're changing that.
Loka Labs is building the Economic World Model — a new category of infrastructure for testing economic decisions before they are deployed in the real world. Our Founding Scientist is Joseph Sifakis, recipient of the Turing Award and pioneer of formal verification. Together with researchers, engineers, and strategists from Harvard, MIT, NUS, and Tsinghua, we're building the future of decision-making.
Help the world understand why Loka exists.
You will build the public voice of a category that does not exist yet. You will shape how governments, researchers, and investors understand Economic World Models. And you will work directly with the founders and world-leading researchers every day.
Narrative & Content
Own Loka's public narrative across every touchpoint.
- Work with the founders to define the narrative behind our website, Light Paper, deck, product demos, founder story, research, and company positioning.
- Translate complex technical and economic concepts into clear, elegant, compelling content.
- Publish high-quality content across LinkedIn, X, our website, newsletters, and other carefully selected channels.
- Build and maintain an editorial calendar across research, product updates, partnerships, and company milestones.
- Identify timely developments in AI, economics, and policy where Loka has something genuinely additive to say, and turn them into commentary, insights, and analysis.
PR & Media Relations
Own Loka's media strategy and external visibility.
- Build and maintain a PR calendar around launches, partnerships, fundraising, research publications, and major company milestones.
- Draft announcements, press releases, and media materials. Every external claim distinguishes what we have achieved from what we plan. Partnership announcements ship only with the partner's written approval of the language.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and external PR agencies.
- Develop relationships with journalists, podcast hosts, conference organizers, and industry publications.
- Pitch high-impact stories to leading business, technology, and policy media. Existing media relationships are a plus.
Community & Ecosystem
Help build the global Loka community.
- Organize research workshops, seminars, closed-door roundtables, side events, and community gatherings. Small rooms with the right people over large rooms.
- Collaborate with universities, research labs, governments, and ecosystem partners.
- Build long-term relationships with researchers, founders, investors, policymakers, and students.
- Yes, you get to travel the world to represent Loka at leading AI, research, and policy events.
- Native-level English writing. This role lives and dies by the quality of your prose.
- A track record translating deeply technical work into clear narrative without overclaiming.
- Comfort operating in serious, high-trust rooms: government, finance, or frontier research.
- Fluency using AI tools to operate like a full team.
- Additional languages are a strong plus, especially Mandarin Chinese and French.
Bonus if you've worked in frontier AI, deep tech, venture capital, research labs, a founder's office, executive communications, or science journalism.
We probably won't be a good fit if you enjoy traditional corporate marketing. You'll probably love this role if you:
- read research papers for fun
- spend too much time on AI Twitter
- enjoy explaining complex ideas
- naturally connect dots across AI, economics, technology, and geopolitics
- care deeply about writing
- are excited by building something entirely new from zero
We aren't looking for someone to manage social media. We're looking for the person who helps the world understand why Loka exists.
